Terms of service

Last updated 2026-09-14.

These terms govern your use of mail.maib.io, operated by mAIb Tech. By using the service you accept them.

1. What the service is

This service provides technical diagnostics. It reads public DNS records for a domain you specify, evaluates them against published standards and against the sender requirements published by mailbox providers, and — where purchased — generates repair instructions.

2. No guarantee of inbox placement

The service does not guarantee that your email will reach any recipient's inbox, and nothing in the service should be read as such a guarantee. Mailbox providers decide delivery and placement using signals including sender reputation, recipient behaviour and complaint rates, none of which this service can observe or influence.

Correct SPF, DKIM and DMARC configuration does not on its own guarantee deliverability. It removes one class of reason for mail to be rejected or filtered. It does not remove the others.

3. Limits of automated detection

The service cannot detect every system that sends mail as your domain. A DKIM selector cannot be enumerated from DNS, so the absence of a discovered key is reported as undetermined rather than as an absence. Where the service cannot construct a safe configuration change, it says so rather than producing one.

4. You are responsible for your DNS

Repair instructions are recommendations. You decide what to publish, and you publish it. You are responsible for the consequences of changes you make to your own DNS, including any interruption to mail. Every repair pack records the previous value of each record it asks you to change, so that any change can be reversed.

You should review each proposed change before publishing it, and you should confirm that the sender list the service has inferred is complete.

5. Point-in-time observations

Every result describes what public DNS returned at the moment of the scan, through one resolver. DNS is cached and distributed; another resolver may return different answers, and answers change without notice.

6. Standards and requirements change

The service evaluates against the standards and provider requirements cited in each result, as read on the dates stated. Both change. A result is accurate as of its ruleset version and no later.

7. Acceptable use

Scan domains you own or are authorised to assess. Do not use the service to enumerate third-party infrastructure at scale, to circumvent its rate limits, or to disrupt it. We may block domains or clients that do.

8. Purchases

The Repair Pack is a one-time purchase of £19 covering one domain, with 30 days of access to the generated pack. Guard is £7 per month per domain, cancellable at any time through Stripe. Prices are in pounds sterling and exclude any taxes that may apply.

9. Intended for business use

This service is intended for use by businesses and by people administering business domains. It is not directed at consumers or at individuals acting outside a trade or profession.

10. Liability

The service is provided as-is. To the fullest extent permitted by law, mAIb Tech is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including lost business or lost email, arising from use of the service or from changes you make on the basis of its output. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

11. Changes

These terms may change. The version in force is the one published here, dated at the top of this page.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
